The Durable and Strong Polycarbonate Sheet

The polycarbonate sheet is a flat high quality plastic sheet that can be used for glazing various types of windows such as skylights, architectural glazing as well as standard glazing. Polycarbonate (PC) is a particular group of thermoplastic polymers. They are easily worked, moulded, and thermoformed. The characteristics of PC are quite like those of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, acrylic), but polycarbonate sheet is stronger, usable in a wider temperature range. This polymer is highly transparent to visible light and has better light transmission characteristics than many kinds of glass.

The characteristics of using polycarbonate sheet are high impact resistance, great insulation, weather proof, long life, lightweight, and easy installation. First of all, it is perfect for security windows and situations where “Unbreakable Windows” are needed such as an aeroplane. Furthermore, it can also maintain a great resistance to all types of weather, as well as be a great electrical and acoustic insulator. Last but not least, PC sheet has an extremely long life. Although it light-weighted, it’s strong and durable enough.
