Use Ultrasonic Bonding Technique to Weld Materials Efficiently

In our daily life, we use a large amount of plastic products, including bottles, bags, stationary, home appliances, etc. I am always wondering how all these plastic items are produced, by what kinds of technique and procedures. Among those complicate manufacturing process, welding separate parts together is a crucial steps. Of course, you can joint parts by glue or fasteners. You can even use flame to welding the parts. However, they are old ways. Ultrasonic bonding arises as a new and effective way for binding dissimilar materials. It is an industrial technique whereby high-frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations are locally applied to workpieces being held together under pressure to create a solid-state weld. It is commonly used for plastics. In ultrasonic welding, there are no connective bolts, nails, soldering materials, or adhesives necessary to bind the materials together.

The applications of ultrasonic welding are extensive and are found in many industries including electrical and computer, automotive and aerospace, medical, and packaging. Whether two items can be ultrasonically welded is determined by their thickness. If they are too thick this process will not join them. This is the main obstacle in the welding of metals. However, wires, microcircuit connections, sheet metal, foils, ribbons and meshes are often joined using ultrasonic welder. Ultrasonic welding technique is a very popular technique for bonding thermoplastics. It is fast and easily automated with weld times often below one second and there is no ventilation system required to remove heat or exhaust. This type of welding is often used to build assemblies that are too small, too complex, or too delicate for more common welding techniques.

To Know More About Roll Slitting Before You Purchase Slitter

Roll slitting is a shearing operation that cuts a large roll of material into narrower rolls. The log slitting terminology refers back to the olden days of saw mills when they would cut logs into smaller sections. By today's definition, slitting is a process in which a coil of material is cut down into a number of smaller coils of narrower measure. Potential workpieces are selectively thin (0.001 to 0.215 in.) and can be machined in sheet or roll form. It is considered a practical alternative to other methods due to its high productivity and the versatility of materials it can manage. Rewind slitting involves rewinding the material through a number of knives to form narrower rolls of materials. The machine used is called a slitter.

This process can achieve a high degree of precision with minimal waste, as long as the technician plans the cuts correctly. The finished rolls can be rewound, if necessary, and packaged for shipment and sale. Roll slitting equipment can come with some preset functions to create standardized widths, and it can also be customized for specialty products. The equipment allows for high volume manufacture of a range of materials that may need to be processed quickly to be cost effective. Companies seeking equipment for this purpose may want to consider the size of their products, as well as the scalability of that size. It may be advisable to purchase a machine that is slightly larger than currently needed, to assure that the company will have room to go. Some manufacturers offer leases or used equipment to companies that do not want to buy a brand new machine, and it may also be possible to pick one up at a liquidation sale to save costs.

How Does Stylus Work on iPad?

In computing, a stylus pen is a small pen-shaped instrument that is used to input commands to a computer screen, mobile device or graphics tablet. With touch screen devices, a user places a stylus on the surface of the screen to draw or make selections by tapping the stylus on the screen. Pen-like input devices which are larger than a stylus, and offer increased functionality such as programmable buttons, pressure sensitivity and electronic erasers, are often known as digital pens. For iPad and other touch screen devices, Apple designed them hoping to excel at reading the touch of the human hand, so it doesn't promote the use of a stylus. Nonetheless, many people who want to take hand notes or draw have demanded one, so other companies have produced them. These styluses are designed to function on Apple's patented touch screen.

For a stylus to work on the iPad's touch screen, stylus for iPad must conduct the electrical current from your hand to the device. To do this it must be constructed from conductive material like metal. Most models have a soft material like conductive foam at the tip, making the writing smoother and less likely to scratch the screen's surface. Since Apple's touch screen technology only reads electrical currents and not pressure, you won't be able to use touch sensitivity in your sketches, notes or drawings, although some apps claim to mimic it.

The Stunning and Shinny Cheerleading Apparel

Cheerleading is a team sport that showcases talent, athletic skill and the ability to work well with others. Sports teams are often affected by the vibe of the crowd, and cheerleaders keep the crowd pumped with positive energy that translates directly into the game itself. A team of cheerleaders should all wear their uniforms properly to show their team spirit and give their appearance the boost it needs to lead a huge crowd. In the beginning, it is the uniform outfit worn by cheerleading squads usually indicative of the mascot, school, and/or colors of the team and/or organization they are representing. Cheerleading apparel and uniform in the early 1900s were a steadfast symbol of the schools they represented, usually depicting the first letter of a high school or the first letter plus the letters "H" and "S", standing for "high school." These letters were normally sewn onto a sweater-type garment, sometimes even polo shirts in warm weather. While showing school spirit and having a uniformed cheerleading team, these sweater-tops were often hot, bulky, and not very functional for any type of athletic movement.

Nowadays, most cheerleading uniforms are currently made from a polyester blended fabric, usually containing spandex as well. The top (currently called a shell) is form fitting along the body and comes in either long sleeves or no sleeves. Most American school squads wear a sleeveless top with either a sports bra or an athletic tank top underneath. If the shell lacks sleeves, many teams wear a turtle neck bodysuit under it, although this is not required specifically. The bodysuits can be either leotard like or covering only to the bottom of the ribcage. For all star team, many have tops that stop at or just below the bottom of the bra line. Another growing trend among all star teams is having sections of material missing (allowing bare skin to show) across the top for the chest, the shoulders, the top of the back, or portions of the arms.

How to Print on Plastic Bottles?

Plastic bottles are used to package a wide variety of things, from juice to soft drinks, and they play a ubiquitous role in the lives of many consumers, along with other plastic products. Most plastic bottles are made from polyethylene terephtalate (PET) plastic, and almost all water bottles come from virgin plastic; an estimated 30% of the world's PET goes into plastic bottles. The plastic used in plastic bottles is made by mixing hydrocarbons extracted from crude oil with chemical catalysts, triggering polymerization.

Commercial bottle tags are printed by bottle printers. But if you want to do bottle printing by yourself, it would be tricky. It is because bottles made from glass or plastic are non-porous, which means that printing words or designs can be a challenge. If you choose the right tools and printing materials, you can print on bottles made from glass or plastic, whether the bottles are textured, colored or smooth. The tools you need for printing on bottles are sandpaper (light grade), stencil, permanent marker, grid block, adhesive, rubber stamp, permanent solvent ink pad, etc. Use them wisely, you can make your unique bottle printing patters.

Band Saw Machine is the Excellent Solution for Cutting Needs

A band saw machine is a power tool which uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge to cut various workpieces. The band usually rides on two wheels rotating in the same plane, although some bandsaws may have three or four wheels. Bandsaws are used for woodworking, metalworking, or for cutting a variety of other materials, and are particularly useful for cutting irregular or curved shapes, but can also be used to produce straight cuts. The minimum radius of a curve that can be cut on a particular saw is determined by the width of the band and its kerf.

Band saws work by running a toothed belt between two wheels. When the band saw is turned on, the belt starts moving, allowing the operator to run objects though the saw to cut them. One of the advantages to a band saw is that it cuts very evenly, with a highly regular distribution of pressure. Another is that band saws can be used for curved, complex, or freehand cuts for which other kinds of saws are not appropriate.

When choosing the right band saw machine for your needs, look at the depth of the cut the saw offers because that indicates the thickness of the wood the band saw can cut. Some band saws have a riser extension piece that increases the depth potential. Another feature that is important to check out when shopping for a band saw is the throat of the blade. The throat is the space between the blade and the main body of the saw. The throat determines the width of wooden pieces that can be cut with the band saw.

What is the Function of Slitting Machine?

The machine used for roll slitting is called a slitter rewinder, a slitter or a slitting machine - these names are used interchangeably for the same machines. Roll slitting, also known as log slitting or rewind slitting, is a shearing operation that cuts a large roll of material into narrower rolls. The log slitting terminology refers back to the olden days of saw mills when they would cut logs into smaller sections. They would also use these saw mills to cut iron rods into smaller sections. By today's definition, slitting is a process in which a coil of material is cut down into a number of smaller coils of narrower measure. Potential workpieces are selectively thin (0.001 to 0.215 in.) and can be machined in sheet or roll form. Slitting is considered a practical alternative to other methods due to its high productivity and the versatility of materials it can manage. Rewind slitting involves rewinding the material through a number of knives to form narrower rolls of materials.
When the term "slitting machine" is used to describe the machine, the three parts are referred to as the unwind, the slitting section and the rewind. Slitter rewinders are normally used to slit plastic films, paper and metal foils. The unwind is normally braked to maintain accurate tension in the material. Some machines have a driven unwind which reduces the effect of inertia when starting to unwind heavy rolls or when the material is very tension sensitive. The slitting section has three main options: Rotary shear slitting, Crush cut slitting, and Razor slitting which is ideal for thin plastic film. The rewind section also has options. The main type is centre winding using differential rewind shafts.
Roll slitting technique is heavily used by Converters industry. The converter industry normally refers to companies who print, coat and laminate materials. A typical converter is a company manufacturing producing flexible packaging material for packaging food. This may involve purchasing large rolls of plastic film such as biaxially orientated polypropylene (BOPP) which is then printed to the customer's design and coated with cold seal adhesive for use on high speed packaging machines. This material is printed and coated in wide, large diameter rolls for maximum efficiency. The rolls are then slit, using a slitting machine, into smaller rolls of the size to be used on the packaging machine.

As a cheerleader, how to deal with muscle tension?

As we all know, cheerleading is not an easy sports! It’s one of the competitive sports. In western countries like U.S.A., there are hundreds of cheerleading competitions every year. From high school students to adult competitors, across America, you can find cheerleaders everywhere. Since it’s so popular, we have to be much more cautious about preventing injuries caused by this activity. Composed of tumbling, dance, jumps, stunting, and cheers such as throwing cheer bows or yelling slogan, cheerleading sometimes can be a dangerous sports. Therefore, people who want to take part in this activity must have some basic knowledge about how to prevent or treat injuries.
Muscle tension injury is thought to be the common injuries caused by over-exercise. It is the continuous and passive partial contraction of the muscles. Unconscious nerve impulses maintain the muscles in a partially contracted state. If a sudden pull or stretch occurs, the body responds by automatically increasing the muscle's tension, a reflex which helps guard against danger as well as helping to maintain balance. Such near-continuous inner-invasion can be thought of as a "default" or "steady state" condition for muscles. There is, for the most part, no actual "rest state" insofar as activation is concerned. Both the extensor and flexor muscles are involved in the maintenance of a constant tone while "at rest". In skeletal muscles, this helps maintains a normal posture. When you practice too much, or become too nervous about the cheerleading competition, your whole body will become stiff. Therefore, the tension of your muscle will stretch too much and causes strain.
In this case, one treatment option is heat and cold remedy. Cheerleader requires high amount of physical activity and sustained training (2 to 3 hours), causing muscle soreness, chronic pain or even strain. Strains, if not detected early to relieve or treat, may likely cause further injuries. To allow players to recover from muscular sores and chronic pain, using cold pack will relieve muscle discomfort as soon as it arises. It is the effective way for pain management. After the sore and swelling is better, then you can put on heating pad to ease the symptom. It is a pad used for warming of parts of the body in order to manage pain. Localized application of heat causes the blood vessels in that area to dilate, enhancing perfusion to the targeted tissue. Types of heating pads include electrical, chemical and hot water bottles.
Many episodes of pain come from muscle exertion or strain, which creates tension in the muscles and soft tissues. This tension can constrict circulation, sending pain signals to the brain. Heat application eases pain by dilating the blood vessels surrounding the painful area. Increased blood flow provides additional oxygen and nutrients to help heal the damaged muscle tissue.

With Roll Slitting Equipment, You can Shear Materials Much More Efficiently!

Also known as log slitting or rewind slitting, roll slitting is a shearing operation that cuts a large roll of material into narrower rolls. The machine used is called slitting machine. The log slitting terminology refers back to the olden days of saw mills when they would cut logs into smaller sections. They would also use these saw mills to cut iron rods into smaller sections; see slitting mill.

For soft materials, there are several methods used for them. Razor blades, straight, or circular blades are being used. Some blades cut through the material while others crush the material against a hard roll. Those are similar to knives and cut the material into narrow strips, which are called coils when being rewound. The cutting blades can be set to a desired width. Some machines have many blades to increase the options of cutting widths, others have just a single blade and can be set to a desired location. The slit material is being rewound on paper or plastic cores on the exit side of slitter rewider.

For harder materials, such as sheet metal, blades cannot be used. Instead a modified form of shearing is used. Two cylindrical rolls with matching ribs and grooves are used to cut a large roll into multiple narrower rolls. This continuous production process is very economical yet precise; usually more precise than most other cutting processes. However, the occurrence of rough or irregular edges known as burrs are commonplace on slit edges. Also, the geometry of these rolls is determined by specific tolerances in addition to the type of material and workpiece thickness.

Heal Your Sport Injury By Heating Pad

Modern generation today prefer products for healing rather than medication. There are various products offered online for relieving muscle tension and are exclusively equipped with heating pad. These pads allow far-infrared waves to effectively reach deep tissues via resonance absorption. This boosts circulation which is the basic aspect of self-healing. When you browse the net, you will find various online websites dealing with pain management and offering products for healing. You can research online and grab a wonderful and cost-effective offer for dealing with your pain.

Therapy is a famous form of treatment to alleviate pain and relieve a person’s mind and body. In addition, exercise has also proven out to be good for patients but working out in pain can complicate things further and that is not good. Pain management is needed to give timely treatment for a person who is hurting. Relaxation methods treated by physicians or online websites will be a good alternative as it can help a person to ease his pain and lessen the stress. But pain relief products such as using heating pad are popular these days not only for treating pain but also for preventing pain.

Healthy living is based on everyday care and prevention. The specialist has found that current pain management programs tend to focus on treatment while ignoring prevention. The importance of prevention is often only appreciated after pain strikes or muscle tension occurs. Therefore, it is crucial to increase self-awareness regarding pain and to create a pain-free quality of living. By building on a foundation of preventative medical care and pain management, we can integrate people-oriented mentalities into healing products to provide new methods of household healthcare.

The Various Types of Capacitors

The function of capacitors is to store electric charge. They are used with resistors in timing circuits, for it takes time for a capacitor to fill with charge. Acting as a reservoir of charge, they can smooth varying DC supplies. Furthermore, because capacitors can easily pass changing signals (AC) but block constant signals (DC) at the same time, they are applied to filter circuits. Formerly known as condenser, capacitor is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy in an electric field. The forms of practical capacitors vary widely, but all contain at least two electrical conductors separated by a dielectric (insulator).
Tantalum Bead Capacitors
Tantalum capacitor is polarised and has low voltage ratings like electrolytic capacitor. It is expensive but very small; therefore, it is useful in circumstances that large capacitance is needed in a small size. The low leakage and high capacity of tantalum capacitors favors their use in sample and hold circuits to achieve long hold duration, and some long duration timing circuits where precise timing is not critical. They are also often used for power supply rail decoupling in parallel with film or ceramic capacitors which provide low ESR and low reactance at high frequency.
Trimmer Capacitor
Trimmer capacitor is one the the miniature variable capacitors. It is designed to be mounted directly onto the circuit board and adjusted only when the circuit is built. A small screwdriver or similar tool is required to adjust trimmers. The process of adjusting them requires patience because the presence of your hand and the tool will slightly change the capacitance of the circuit in the region of the trimmer! And trimmer capacitor is only available with very small capacitances.

Find the Quality Polycarbonate PC Manufacturer

Nowadays, polycarbonate is widely used to many aspects, such as CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, drinks bottles, drinking glasses, lab equipment, animal enclosures, lighting lenses, etc. And since it becomes more related to our daily life, we can’t ignore the quality and performance of PC. When choosing the PC manufacturer, we should pay attention to their quality control management. Polycarbonate is a very durable material, but with poor scratch resistance. The characteristics of PC are low density, good impact resistance, excellent light transmission, and good electrical properties.

One of the main usages of PC is the application of food contact containers. However, there exist some hazards. So we must be cautious while selecting the safe products from the quality PC manufacturer in the market. As we know, the use of polycarbonate containers for the purpose of food storage is controversial. The basis of this controversy is their hydrolysis (degradation by water, often referred to as leaching) releases bisphenol A. More than 100 studies have explored the bioactivity of bisphenol A derived from polycarbonates. Bisphenol A appeared to be released from polycarbonate animal cages into water at room temperature and it may have been responsible for enlargement of the reproductive organs of female mice.

Unlike most thermoplastics, polycarbonate sheet can undergo large plastic deformations without cracking or breaking. As a result, it can be processed and formed at room temperature using sheet metal techniques, such as forming bends on a brake. Even for sharp angle bends with a tight radius, no heating is generally necessary. This makes it valuable in prototyping applications where transparent or electrically non-conductive parts are needed, which cannot be made from sheet metal. Note that PMMA/Plexiglas, which is similar in appearance to polycarbonate, is brittle and cannot be bent at room temperature.

How to Prevent the Leakage of Hydraulic Fluid (Oil) From Machine

Today, lots of power machines using oil as the energy source. Oil has become the most prominent energy in the world. Due to its affordable price, it becomes indispensable in our daily life. Despite its affordability, we can’t ignore the danger of it. Once the oil leaks out, it may cause fatal damage. Thus, to know how to prevent the oil leakage, using right device is a must. Oil seal, also known as O ring, is a small but effective material used to prevent it.
There are diverse shapes and sizes for oil seal, which is also referred to as gaskets, o-rings, packing, or swivel seals. It is composed of materials such as rubber, cork, composites, and leather. The main purpose of oil seal is to ensure that the oil used by a machine has been sealed inside to keep it from leaking out. The seal that a rubber or plastic O ring creates can either exist in a motionless joint, such as between piping, or a movable joint, such as a hydraulic cylinder. However, movable joints often require that the O ring be lubricated. In a moving enclosure this ensures slower deterioration of it and therefore, extends the useful life of the product.
O-rings are both inexpensive and simple in design; accordingly, they are very popular in manufacturing and industry. If mounted correctly, O ring can withstand a very large amount of pressure and are therefore used in many applications where leaks or loss of pressure are unacceptable. For instance, O-rings used in hydraulic cylinders prevent leakage of hydraulic fluid and allow for the system to create and withstand the pressures required for operation.

The Mechanism of the Power Winch

Power winch is a device that uses electric power to wind steel wire cable around a spool, pulling an object toward the winch with ease. Typically used to pull a boat or a vehicle onto a trailer, the power winch uses an electric motor in place of the hand crank commonly used on a manual winch. The most common power winch uses a 12-volt battery as a power source to operate the powerful winch motor; nevertheless, if the winch is lacking power or having difficulty in winching the vehicle or boat onto a trailer, the cable can be doubled by placing a block pulley on the cable, virtually doubling the winching power available.

In order to let the power winch have well performance, using the firm steel wire cable is very important. Unlike the usual automotive wire used in the vehicle, which is primarily made by metal with more flexibility, the steel wire cable is much stronger than auto wiring products. Steel wire cable is the primary retrieval material used on a power winch. However, many winches are equipped with a flat nylon strap instead of the wire cable. The use of the nylon strap prevents kinking and fraying of the wire cable that is often present on older winch cables. Steel wires for wire ropes are normally made of non-alloy carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.4 to 0.95%. The wires are patented (heat process) 70 and 2450 N/mm². The very high strength of the rope wires enables wire ropes to support large tensile forces and to run over sheaves with relatively small diameters.
