How to Print on Plastic Bottles?

Plastic bottles are used to package a wide variety of things, from juice to soft drinks, and they play a ubiquitous role in the lives of many consumers, along with other plastic products. Most plastic bottles are made from polyethylene terephtalate (PET) plastic, and almost all water bottles come from virgin plastic; an estimated 30% of the world's PET goes into plastic bottles. The plastic used in plastic bottles is made by mixing hydrocarbons extracted from crude oil with chemical catalysts, triggering polymerization.

Commercial bottle tags are printed by bottle printers. But if you want to do bottle printing by yourself, it would be tricky. It is because bottles made from glass or plastic are non-porous, which means that printing words or designs can be a challenge. If you choose the right tools and printing materials, you can print on bottles made from glass or plastic, whether the bottles are textured, colored or smooth. The tools you need for printing on bottles are sandpaper (light grade), stencil, permanent marker, grid block, adhesive, rubber stamp, permanent solvent ink pad, etc. Use them wisely, you can make your unique bottle printing patters.

Band Saw Machine is the Excellent Solution for Cutting Needs

A band saw machine is a power tool which uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge to cut various workpieces. The band usually rides on two wheels rotating in the same plane, although some bandsaws may have three or four wheels. Bandsaws are used for woodworking, metalworking, or for cutting a variety of other materials, and are particularly useful for cutting irregular or curved shapes, but can also be used to produce straight cuts. The minimum radius of a curve that can be cut on a particular saw is determined by the width of the band and its kerf.

Band saws work by running a toothed belt between two wheels. When the band saw is turned on, the belt starts moving, allowing the operator to run objects though the saw to cut them. One of the advantages to a band saw is that it cuts very evenly, with a highly regular distribution of pressure. Another is that band saws can be used for curved, complex, or freehand cuts for which other kinds of saws are not appropriate.

When choosing the right band saw machine for your needs, look at the depth of the cut the saw offers because that indicates the thickness of the wood the band saw can cut. Some band saws have a riser extension piece that increases the depth potential. Another feature that is important to check out when shopping for a band saw is the throat of the blade. The throat is the space between the blade and the main body of the saw. The throat determines the width of wooden pieces that can be cut with the band saw.
